Thank you for these pics! I loved Carousel of Progress AND America Sings both. I'm glad that we can see most of the America Sings figures today in Splash Mt., but I miss Eagle Sam, his owl sidekick and the rotating theater!
....he's totally "head over tallons" for the busty pig performer.!! This character was voiced by Betty Taylor -the original Slue Foot Sue of the Golden Horseshoe in Frontierland. The Gay Nineties act was inspired by famed Delmonico's of New York. Delmonico's was also the inspiration for the PLAZZA INN redo in 1965 and the inspiration for Harmonia Gardens sets in Hello Dolly--designed by famed Imagineer, John De Cuir!. They were famous for their "Delmonico Steak" and even more so...."Delmonico Grand Roast" (PORK ROAST!!) ....I always wondered if Marc Davis or Al Bertino chose a pig to portray this character as a nod to this famous Victorian establishment!
I think that innoventions needs to close and the carousel theater should be changed back to the way that it was before innoventions was built and that is back to the original theater for audio animatronic shows to be presented and they should bring back America Sings temporarily so guests that never got a chance to see America Sings can get a chance to experience the show like I have when I was a kid growing up and then come out with a new ideas.
I grew up in San Diego in the 70's around people -like my parents who were working for General Dynamics, Ryan Aeronautical etc.....they all had neat modern houses and had dinner and cocktail parties---shopping Centers and restaurants then were like being in Tomorrowland-----we went to Disneyland, Santa's Village and Knott's Berry Farm and all these places had an impression on me! I was fascinated by drawing and model making---when I was 5 I was making clay copies of a preview model for Walt Disney World of what became Big Thunder Mountain..whenever we went somewhere I would come home and make paper, wood and clay models of a building or something--went to San Diego State and studied Environmental Design. Worked for Disney Company for 13 continuous years. Currently a model maker and designer .

I wonder if we'll ever get a "REAL" attraction in that building?
Looking forward to music-land!
